- "In the spring of 1989, inspired by the examples of queer zines like JDs and Homocore, I decided to publish Holy Titclamps. At the time, I lived in Menneapolis. The initial concept was to make it an open forum broadsheet-the first issue wa jst one 11 x 17 inch sheet. But by the second issue, it had become a digest-sized zine, though only of twelve pages. By the third issue I finally had other contributors, and the grab-bag format was formed which the zine has primarily held to since then. The main exception was issue 13, which was largely a solo issue which I wrote myself, with contributions from artists being the exception to the solo theme"--Holy Titclamps history, [p.59], no. 17 (June 1999)
