- Elze trouvera-t-elle la force de se défendre face à l'écuyer noir ? Le comte de Hohenberg décide la reconstruction du château de Steineck brûlé lors de la dernière guerre. Il confie la direction des travaux à un maitre d'œuvre réputé, lequel est assisté de son fils, Conrad. Mais la venue de celui qu'on appelle l'écuyer noir - qui est au service du comte -, en ravivant la tension au sein du village, rapproche Conrad et la farouche Elze, la fille du plus important personnage de la communauté villageoise. Homme violent à la réputation de meurtrier, l'écuyer noir nourri une haine profonde envers Elze parce qu'elle lui fait front, mais aussi pour une autre raison plus ancienne et secrète. Trouvera-t-elle la force de se défendre, voire, de le vaincre ? A travers ce roman historique, plongez dans l'univers du château de Steineck et découvrez le personnage glaçant de l'écuyer noir.
