Après 15 ans de financement par l'entremise du programme de recherche communautaire sur le VIH/sida des Instituts de recherche en santé du Canada (IRSC), il était important de faire le point sur la recherche communautaire et sur sa contribution dans la lutte contre le VIH/sida. Dans cet ouvrage, chercheurs, professionnels de la santé, militants, personnes vivant avec le VIH, personnes autochtones et étudiants situent leur conception de la recherche communautaire sur le VIH/sida et en expliquent les fondements, chacun soulevant des enjeux épistémologiques, théoriques, méthodologiques et opérationnels. Rédigé dans une perspective réflexive et critique, l'ouvrage contribue à dégager la richesse et la singularité de ce type de recherche de manière à lui donner sa juste place dans les champs scientifique et social. Il s'adresse aux personnes engagées dans la lutte contre le VIH/sida et aux chercheurs et aux étudiants qui se questionnent sur la recherche en partenariat avec les communautés dans un contexte o, plus que jamais, la mobilisation communautaire est au cœur des solutions visant à améliorer la santé des populations
