- Summary
- Five ordinary guys meet under the worst circumstances and form a band in search of stardom in the world of norteno music. When gifted oboe player Don Apolinar loses his job and wife, he tries his luck up in northern Mexico, forming a group with others like him who have nothing to lose. The men create fake celebrity identities, except lead singer Zacarias who gave up being on the police force to become a star. The group plays small gigs until a stroke of luck takes them to some big stages
