- Summary
- "What happens when Gotham City's Clown Prince of Crime discovers a thousand-year-old relic that will make him invincible? Unfortunately, Batman is about to find out as two of history's most madcap maniacs join forces - literally! And to add insult to injury, Joker/Mask becomes a prime-time television sensation, and you don't want to know how far he'll go to keep his ratings high! Joker/Mask is more fun than a barrel of monkeys - monkeys with hand grenades, that is! Cole Cash (also known as Grifter) is what you might call an arms enthusiast. Paul Newman (not that Paul Newman) is an antigun activist. Both are in Vegas for a firearms convnetion, but each is looking to disrupt the show for his own reason - Newman wants to wipe firearms off the face of the earth, and Cash wants to steal a state-of-the-art armament known as the Probability Annihilator. Cash has got a dead-accurate eye - perhaps the best in the world - to back up his play, but Newman's got something that'll outfire any ol' weapon! Newman's got ... the Mask! Lobo's Alan Grant is joined by The Mask's John Arcudi and Doug Mahnke as they take the wackiest pair in all of comics to new heights of frag-all frivolity and zany adventure. Bounty-huntin' Lobo tracks down the Ultimate Bastich, a guy who looks like a really, really evil version of the Mask. When the trail leads the Main Man to Earth, the Mask has been donned by a small-time thug named Ira, resulting in a chaotic fight that completely destroys New York City. And that's just the setup, Lobo and the Mask begin their intergalactic quest, but when the Main Man gets close, the Mask screws things up for him at every turn." -- Page 4 of cover
