Summary
  • Zigeunerweisen : Set in the 1920s, the film focuses on the relationship between Aochi, a Japanese professor and Nakasago, a former colleague. Aochi is called on to testify for Nakasago, who is suspected of being a serial killer, and as the two former friends become more involved, the professor gets a glimpse of Nakasago's nomadic life. The men end up marrying women who strongly resemble each other, and their marital relations become twisted together
  • Kagerōza : Set in 1926 in Tokyo, playwright Matsuzaki finds himself so obsessed with a beautiful woman that he follows a trail of messages left by this enchantress across the country, only to realize that he is possibly being lured to his own demise
  • Yumeji : A sensual, absurdist ghost story spun around the character and work of real-life painter and poet Takehisa Yumeji (1884-1934), seen as a chronic philanderer and dreamer. He encounters a beautiful widow with a dark past: her husband was murdered and he has come back as a ghost
