- Michael O'Hara meets a beautiful blonde in a park and is later hired by her crippled husband, Arthur Bannister, to pilot his yacht. On a cruise, he meets Bannister's partner, Grisby, who persuades O'Hara to help him fake his own murder so that he can disappear. O'Hara agrees but when Grisby is found murdered, all the evidence points to O'Hara, who must prove his innocence
