Summary
Frank Chambers, a drifter, is hired by the owner of a roadside diner. His interest in the job is quickly replaced by his attraction to his boss' wife Cora. The attraction is mutual and soon Cora intends to run away with Frank, but she decides that she wants to keep the diner and the two lovers plot to kill her husband
