- "明代正德年间,当时的明武宗朱厚燳正当少年,性格乖戾,热衷于微服游玩,朝廷大权皆由大太监刘瑾所把持。宁王朱宸濠一直有谋反之心,于是暗中储备粮械,还以慕贤之名广纳天下文人贤士,适值唐伯虎与徐祯卿正赴京会试。徐祯卿一心想要有朝一日超越唐伯虎。他和唐伯虎一起赴京赶考,在赶考的路上,唐伯虎无意把卖身葬父的秋香当成骗子,侮辱了秋香。这令对秋香心生怜爱的徐祯卿无比气愤,决定好好整治唐伯虎。科举中,徐祯卿故意告发唐伯虎曾拜访过主考官,利用朝廷的朋党之争引发了科举弊案的查办,使得唐伯虎被牵扯其中,痛失状元。之后,徐祯卿得了殿试第十名,却不满于坐翰林院的冷板凳,于是南下投靠了意图谋反的宁王。宁王朱宸濠有感唐伯虎的才气,于是力邀赴唐伯虎为自己的幕僚。谁料徐祯卿处处算计唐伯虎,最终使唐伯虎被宁王追杀,而且家产全被侵占。之后,徐祯卿一心要辅佐宁王谋反,做宰相,想以此超过唐伯虎而最终得到秋香。于是在一系列的故事之中,都是以他帮着宁王出主意做坏事,而与唐伯虎等人展开斗争......"--Container
