- "地处华南的冷江,自古为兵家必争之地,一九四四年湘桂战役,日军多摩部队在此被全歼,但在抗战胜利后,冷江附近的果子岭,有人看见一小队日本兵在大白天出来活动,他们认出来,这是早在湘桂战役中被击毙的日军多摩部队少佐中井和他的部下,这起日本鬼子神秘复活事件,闹得当地人心惶惶。后来这里被土匪盘踞,在这个复杂局面下,冷江的地下党市委书记傅品千饰 (陈宝国) 担负起和平解放冷江的任务,周旋于军阀、土匪与国民党的各个派系中。解放军141师在冷江的鹰嘴阵地遭遇国军328师少将师长蔡英豪饰 (吴刚) 的顽强抵抗,战争进入到胶着状态,傅品千领导的冷江市地下党决定暗杀蔡英豪,冷江警备司令潘金刚也欲排除异己借机除掉蔡英豪,结果因国民党的内部斗争引来混水摸鱼的土匪,暗杀蔡英豪的行动失败,女土匪“银姑”薛敏也因此身受重伤。面对解放军日益前进的步伐,国民党决定破坏城市和处决政治犯做好撤退的准备,作为冷江的地下党领导人傅品千又肩负了保存冷江,挽救政治犯的重任。"--Container
