Marilyn Miller repeats her Broadway triumph. A New York City waitress is hired to impersonate a famous Russian dancer, where she finds that her love interest is engaged to another woman. Her own love of dancing leads her to star in a Broadway musical. Although originally produced as a color film, the only print now available is in b & w; in 1990, a color print of the musical number "Wild rose" was found and restored to the print
