- "紫薇偕同丫頭金鎖,來到北京城,一心想與失散多年的父親相認。 當年乾隆東巡時,曾與一女子夏雨荷結緣,夏紫薇即是他們生下的女兒,乾隆曾留下一幅字畫一柄扇作為紀念,雨荷病逝江南。臨終前她才將女兒的身世說出。 紫薇主僕兩人初到北京,兩人走投無路時,結識了小燕子,於是將身世說出,小燕子熱心為她想辦法混入宮中,兩人卻陰錯陽差互換了身份。 紫薇知道小燕子已成正宮格格,而能證明身份的字畫和扇子都已經失去,激動之餘竟然昏倒在地,被大學士福倫之子福爾康所救。爾康對紫薇一見鍾情,又聽其遭遇,於是決定收留紫薇然後見機行事。小燕子在宮中,所幸五阿哥永琪對她十分疼愛。福倫二子爾康、爾泰又常進宮陪伴,四人成了好朋友。計畫將紫薇弄進宮,做了小燕子的貼身丫嬛。乾隆同意賽婭賜婚與爾康,爾康不願犧牲他與紫薇的幸福向皇上力爭,終於只包不住火得將紫薇的身世說出。小燕子難逃欺君之罪,將小燕子和紫薇一併押入大牢,皇后趁機嚴刑逼供幾遭慘死,而皇帝的態度也軟化,策封紫薇為「明珠格格」,小燕子為「還珠郡主」,賜婚紫薇、爾康和小燕子、永琪使這兩對有情人終成眷屬。"--Container
