Summary
880-05, In the recent history of Russia, there is hardly a figure that evokes so many conflicting assessments. Sociological polls already conducted today have shown the attitude of the majority to the "father of Russian reforms" - it is sharply negative; the name Gaidar still causes rejection or even rejection among many. But is it fair? And do we not ascribe to him what he did not do, forgetting, on the contrary, what he did for the country? After all, one way or another, but we live in a world largely created by Gaidar in just a few months of his stay in power, and much of what seems to us self-evident and common, became such precisely as a result of the reforms carried out under his leadership. The authors of the book strive to objectively and without embellishment present the biography of a person who overnight changed the lives of millions of people on the territory of our country
