- After the Civil War, a Unionist convoy transporting a million Dollars is attacked by a colonel of the Confederate Army - Jonas - and his three sons. Jonas' ambition is to return to the Southern States to reform his regiment and to restart the war against the North. They hide the money in a coffin and with the help of a young woman playing the part of a tearful widow, they try to reach the family ranch. But their perilous journey is beset with rivalries, treason and battles
