- Summary
- Geophysicist Dr. Josh Keyes has made a terrifying discovery: the Earth's inner core has stopped rotating. The planet's electromagnetic field is subsequently deteriorating, and within months, Earth will be destroyed. One hope remains: to send Keyes and an elite team of scientists in a subterranean craft to the center of the Earth. With mankind's fate hanging in the balance, they must do the unthinkable to detonate a nuclear device to reactivate the Earth's core
