Summary
Find the Blackmailer: Private eye, D.L. Trees, is hired by mayoral candidate, John M. Rhodes, to prevent adverse publicity. Somewhere in town, there's a talking blackbird who insists that Rhodes will commit a murder. When the killing occurs, Rhodes is implicated, and Trees is off on pursuit of the bird and the murderer. The Smiling ghost: An heiress seems to be cursed as each of her intended grooms meets with a horrible end
