- Soledad, hija de un rico hacendado, se entrega por amor al joven Román. El padre de la joven odia a Román y pretende casar a su hija con Ernesto, sobrino rico de su amigo el juez del pueblo. Soledad rechaza a Ernesto, de quien fue novia tiempo atrás, pero esto solo hace mayor el capricho de Ernesto, quien busca de cualquier forma poseerla
- Soledad is in love with Roman. Her father hates him and wants her to marry Ernesto, the nephew of the local judge. The two men fight and Ernesto is killed. Roman then flees. Soledad's father and the judge put a bounty on him, but Roman vows to return
