- Summary
- One day, Mukai Buhei, a movie director and an actor, spits blood in the middle of his love affair with an actress. Although he has cancer, his friend Dr. Ogata diagnoses his illness as a stomach ulcer. After having surgery, Buhei comes back to work to finish his latest movie which features a conductor who is facing terminal cancer. But soon Buhei collapses. Buhei's condition is getting worse, and the fear of cancer leads him to attempt suicide. But once Ogata informs Buhei of his illness, Buhei decides to accept his fate, and rather than depending on a life-support system in the hospital, he chooses to finish his last film
