Summary
On the eve of World War II, Roy, a British officer, revisits Waterloo Bridge where he and Myra met and fell in love during an air raid at the beginning of World War I. Heartbroken after Roy was reportedly killed in action, Myra turned to prostitution to make her way. The report, however, was false, and when Roy returns from a POW camp, Myra's shattered spirit may no longer hold any room for happiness
